So basically, I have found some locomotives that I want to add to my MSTS roster. However, these locomotives are however aliased to the ESE's cabview and sound folder. Someone also told me that Train Artisan's USRA Light Mountain has the ESE's Cab and Sound folders. I basically tried to find everywhere for the ESE, then the USRA Light Mountain. Turns out that it isn't here on TrainSim. However, I tried going to Train Artisan's site. What do I get? A redirect virus that goes to Oopatet. Even if I manage to get past that redirect wall, Train Artisan's site has been on sale for a long time with buttons that go somewhere unrelated. So, if anyone has the locomotive, can someone tell me where it is available? I don't want to buy the American Classics CD however.

TrainArtisan's ESE is a paid product, so you'll have to buy the Classics CD to get that.
The USRA Mountain... that was a free download on their site. In the License, it states:
You may freely distribute this software in its full unaltered archived format provided that you do not receive any financial gain from said distribution or use.
Fortunately, the WaybackMachine has a copy, so I've added it to the File Library as a Remote Link.
Run the installer in Compatibility Mode, and the B&O, IC, and Southern versions should all be available.

Honestly, while the Mountain is fairly unique, the other TA trainsets have been eclipsed by newer models. The VIA set isn't any better than the free BLW/ZT set... and Rick F's latest E7 model (also BLW/ZT) is decades better.

I get the part with the VIA rail, since both sets are the same thing.
Maybe the Canadian Pacific holiday train on there would be a good candidate? That thing is old as ever, but the set that would've surpassed it (the SLI version) ain't available anymore.Comment

I still have a copy that I paid for, of the American Classics CD and a digital backup, but the thing to remember here, is even if you find a copy, that the whole thing was compiled as 16bit and won't run on anything newer than a Windows XP 32bit version. I have to run windows 98 SE in a VM to run it and then put it on a Virtual Disk to even access the CD anymore.

May I suggest that you try my Utility22 to unpack the American Classics CD using Win 10?
It's available from the library as utility22_v1_0.zip but PLEASE read the instructions!

If the only issue is you need a cabview and sound, and you know how, you can use a different cabview and sound. Even if you don't know how to change those out, honestly, it's not that hard to do.
