    "Light" Engine or Wag files

I've posted this mgs on the Engine side but haven't gotten an answer, so here goes.

I could use a little help here. The problem is with "light" engines in consist files. For example: Missing - SV_Speedster\Spdstr-light.eng From Speedster with wagon-1.con.
In the folder for the Speedster there is no "light" engine file.
I've found this type of error many times. What's the cure? Or how can you make an engine a light engine so I can have these light versions for use?
I've rechecked the original zip files and found the light eng files where not encluded.
Besides the original files could the activity files be in error also? Meaning someone calls for a light engine but did not enclude it or the reference for it?
Thanks for any and all help
    James

A "light" engine is a consist with locomotive only,no wagons. It is railway jargon.

Ok, thanks. I'll use CB to rewrite the consists to use only the engine.
Now, can the same principle be used with WAG files?

I think 'light' in this context means the engine/wagon places fewer demands on the simulator - as long as your computer spec is reasonable you should be able to replace these with the standard model if you can't find the light version.

I don't know if the light version of the Seaview Speedster is included in any of the versions on this page http://hawkdawg.com/MSTS/rts/sv/sv_dwnld.htm .

          Thanks Alan.
I've changed the equipment with CB to just have the car without the "light" appended to it since it doesn't exist. I would guess activity writers should check the consist files they write so if there is a "light" version the file can be obtained.

Yes James - it would be good if activity writers checked, but they don't always, and I guess we will be eternally grateful for their collective efforts, even if some of them give us the occasional pain.
