... sounds more interesting than the usual "more covered hoppers coming". I have two sets I will be uploading for this weekend. The Alaska RR car covers Alaska. Nothing specifically marked for Nebraska, but I imagine some of these cars could have passed through there. I'm also working on a set of IC covered hoppers, then should probably try to do some boxcars for a change of pace. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July, and will have a great weekend, too.
You're killing me! I can't keep up with you
I install, tweak in Route Riter, add to consists, test in activities, and I have to start all over again the next day
Keep the "cards and letters", i.e. cars, coming Mark. Boxcars would be a good thing to get into, but I don't see too many good standard flatcars out there, so I hope you might consider doing some at some point. Great work, keep it up.

Another great looking couple sets, Mark! Thank you for your generousity.
You know, Mark, another car you don't see much of in the line of MSTS cars are steel coil cars - the covered ones. Tiger Trains has some, but there's very few free repaints in the library. Also, you don't see a lot of reefers, either - again, other than Ian's. And here's another idea if you ever run out of things to repaint: There are tons of bulkhead cars with loads of lumber, but for some reason they are all full right up to the top. If you ever look at a video of western railroads, you will see that there very often are one or two (or more) pallets missing from the top layer. I'm not sure if this is done to facilitate unloading or what, but to my knowledge, nobody has ever modeled or repainted a lumber load with a few pallets missing, like you actually see in the real world.
Larry,
While I cant say for sure where I got them from, I know I have some bulkheads with incomplete loads.
I'll see if i can dig up where they are from. I believe - some of them are in my CAN99_Freight folder, wherever that is originally from??
I think that CAN99_Freight folder is the equipment used in the Blackfoot sub route. I think that was a package available from the Mophouse.
Mark, if you ever get bored with 3 bay hoppers and boxcars, would you consider doing some 2 bay covered hoppers? I'm mainly interested in some CNW ones. I used to see pictures and videos of trainloads of those and it seemed that no two were ever the same color, which is part of their appeal.
Mark, I got some pictures of tank cars, that I took shots of today, if you ever become interested in those again. (I'm not very good at painting tank cars..)
Question for the smart guys here:
On this NOKL 827226 unit, it has a marking of "EXTRA". I happened to see quite a few of these on the UP line coming from St. Louis to Chicago (on UP hoppers), staged at various sidings and loading stations.
What exactly does this marking indicate?

Anyway, thank's heaps for all your great work!

Steel coil cars and bulkhead flats. Something for me to consider. Can you point me to some freeware models in the file library that I could try to repaint? As for reefers, I have done "a few" sets over the years. Check the file library for ARMNPAK1, ARMNPAK2, BNSFPAK1, CEFXPAK1, CR359020, CRYXPAK1, CSXREEF1, CSXREEF2, CSXREEF3, FGEPACK, FGEPACK2, FGEPACK3, PGRREEF1, PGRREEF2, REEFER01, SIMPLOT1, TILXPAK1, TPIXPAK1, TPIXPAK2 and UPFEPAK1. If there is a paint scheme on a particular freeware car that I could do, I am open to suggestions.
Some 2 bays would be nice especially some CSX ones.
Can you point me to a good freeware car model in the file library? I would not mind doing 2 bays, but in the past could not find a good model to work with.

Thanks, Shawn, you can send the photos over to me at the email address in my readme files.

IIRC Extra was a leasing company. Not sure if it is the same one for "EXTRA Intermodal" and "EXTRA Lease" for the Trailers though.
