I have been experiencing a lot of problems with .dds textures. My BNSF 25th Anniversary units, for example, have caused problems for many. I have no idea why, so I just got back to using .ace files. I've increased the resolution, so I don't think there is much difference quality-wise.

Yes, you got the format wrong! The A and B textures have to end with .ace, not .dds.

I can barely see anything here, but if I see it correctly, the problem is the file extension. The locomotive's A and B textures are in .ace format, not .dds.

downloaded the Veteran's unit...followed instructions modifying and saving the .s file. copy the textures into the folder.....In Open rails all I get is a grey locomotive...in tsre5 CE I get a "black" locomotive. Tried all three texture files with same result. any clue what I did wrong??

    Dear friends,

I am happy to inform you that the MRL EMD SD70ACe 4407 'Veterans' unit has been uploaded to the Files library. I apologize for the two-and-a-half-month delay, as I experienced problems with the uploader.

Hello and thank you very much for your kind words and for reminding me to upload these files again! I've uploaded them again to the File Library, but I have also made another external link for you: https://we.tl/t-YpctUL0JEV

Password is "montana" without quotation marks. I hope you will enjoy this locomotive as much as I enjoyed making it.
