Tyler Bundy did a bang up job putting this CRR-specific model together. The first paint to be released will represent newly-delivered locos in the grey Clinchfield livery, like class leader 2000. Future repaints will include the black livery and weathered versions of each livery.

Paint is done for the entire "as delivered" Clinchfield GP38 fleet; just running through some final testing. Hopefully get a package together for upload early next week. Not sure how many I will put up in this scheme because I also want to do some alternate paint options, and still trying to think about the best way to package/upload everything.Attached Files

These are now uploaded. Since there were only 10 on the roster, I did all of them. They should appear in 3 different files, which I elected to do in order to make the uploads smaller. You can download any of the files as a stand-alone package and they should work just fine. Some files are shared between packages, so if you install more than one package (and install them to the default locations), it will alert you about an overwrite of some files. But the essential files are identical, so overwriting is OK.
I plan to upload another package at some point, with a handful of alternate paint schemes to represent some of the units later in their Clinchfield life. And, for anybody else who is interested....these units made it onto predecessor-CSX and CSX rosters, and these models may also be compatible with various Family Lines, Seaboard, and CSX liveries.

Uploaded a few black variants of CRR GP38s tonight, this time 2003 (weathered) and 2009 (newly painted). This can be used as a standalone package of models, or installed in your other CRR_GP38 folder. Doing the latter will overwrite some files specific to these 2 units, so make back ups as needed. These will be the last ones I plan to upload in Clinchfield paint.
I have in mind to eventually make CRR sublettered Family Lines editions of some GP38s and SD40s, as only a very few of each were ever re-painted into that livery before the SBD/Chessie merger. But that will be a stand alone package, and I don't have a timeframe in mind as to when I want to do that project.
And fingers crossed that Trainsimulations makes a CRR version in a future volume of SD45s.Attached FilesLast edited by yellowdog; 10-19-2022, 19:07.

Coming soon, once I decide which numbers to do. I'm thinking 2001 and 2008, as they had similar chevrons (as far as I can tell). 2001 (and 2000) had the FL logo and lettering stripped away at some point, and I plan to include that feature while leaving 2008 in fresh paint.
I have a love/hate relationship with the FL paint. It's definitely my favorite fallen flag scheme (even when it wasn't yet fallen). And is also such a pain to recreate--lining up stripes, getting the chevron in order, and then adding the details back in...bleh. So I'm glad these are nearly done.
These will go in a standalone folder, but can probably be set up to be dumped in any other of my CRR_GP38 folders if you want to overwrite stuff. Which is why I think I'll do 2001 and 2008. I want to leave the class leader (2000) alone, and I haven't done any variations of 2001 or 2008 yet. And these should be the final GP38 CRR variants from me.Attached Files

Someone posted a question over in the screenshot forum about SBD paint GP38s. Rather than take over that thread, I thought I'd post here...
Unless somebody beats me to it, I have plans to release SBD and CSX era liveries on this CRR GP38 model, as a couple of the CRR geeps made it into several different paint schemes (including SBD) with very few, if any, physical modifications to their shell. For all intents and purposes, the Family Lines versions are essentially done--it's just a matter of updating my base FL paint to include SBD or CSX reporting marks and proper numbers, and adding weathering. The SBD and CSX liveries will take a little time. I was planning on doing a SBD era package, to include FL and SBD liveries/numbers, to be followed by a CSX era package, to include CSX numbers on FL, SBD, and 2 different CSX (Grey, and Blue) liveries.
I might even go back and revisit the CRR SD40 models as well, with the same intention of making SBD and CSX era versions.
