    Looking for Pacific Surfliner Announcements

Hi, I am looking for some Pacific Surfliner in-train announcements. Preferably recorded, but manual announcements are fine as well. I am asking coz I don't live in the US.

The Surfliner set from 3DTrains includes announcements. Those are the only ones I know of.

You could probably sample right off YouTube and make your own easily. I'm sure there's lot's of Surfliner videos taken while riding, and hopefully capturing the announcements as well.

Noisemaker: Can you link me to some High-Quality ones?

hinall 3985: I am using the FPM ones, which only have announcement for trains travelling to San Diego.

Yeah that was very... Awkward, when you're departing Solana Beach Northbound, and hear "*Ding-dong* Welcome aboard Amtrak's Southbound Pacific Surfliner service to san Diego. Stopping at Fullerton, Anaheim, Irvine, San Juan Capistrano, Oceanside, Solana Beach, and San Diego.'

Exactly. Now, if only we can port the announcer system code from openbve to msts...

Unfortunately we only have southbound announcements. This will be even worst when we get the new Surfliner route headed north from LA to San Luis Obispo.

Yeah. That's my point. It feels wierd to hear a SB annoucement on a NB train.

You know what, he said 'Preferably recorded, but manual announcements are fine as well.', if anyone can get ahold of that little chime that plays before the announcements for me, I can make some for you all. Heck I'd even go as far as to make some for each of the different services (N/S Bound LA-SAN section, N/S Bound SAN-SAnta Barbara section, adn N/S SAN-SLO Section) too. All I need is that little 'Ding dong' chime thing they use... That sounds like a bell being run through a guitar amp!

Thanks Limskj! I'll get to work on it a bit later, after I review some announcements on youtube. Apparently the conductor's make most of the announcements so, that's cool. I'm thinking of though, using the FPM/3DTrains one as a template for what to say. I'll update further when I get further!

                        Ok, from what I found in my current to-date Timetable, there will be Announcements for the following services: 562/572/580/582/590, 564/592, 566, 768, 784, and 796. As for Northbound, it'll be 565/567, 571/573/577/579/583/595/597, 799, 763, 769, 775, 785, 587, 589, and 591.

                          I think you missed 798
It gets a little confusing. 799 & 775 go to SLO. 799 is LA-SLO northbound. 774 & 798 SLO southbound. 798 is SLO-LA only. All other Surfliners turn at Goleta. I think the automated announcements only go as far as Goleta and then from there to SLO the conductor makes announcement, but that may have changed. I'll be on 799 tomorrow and ask. 799 & 798 use Horizon cars and Amfleets occasionally.
