There's a K5LA on the file library that was just uploaded today by a Ronald MacDonald. Upon listening to it, it sounds like a bunch of distorted noise. The folder is called "KTLA FOR LOCOS", and the readme is rather strange, to say the least.
More than likely, it is. More than likely someone decided to take recordings from another upload them, distort them to all hell, and upload them as a prank.
I have seen cases as to where someone will upload using someone else's name just to ruin that persons reputation. You'd be surprised some of the things myself, any many others that have been around for a long time, have seen being posted as a prank.
Some being the same case as you have seen here with the K5LA horn.
The one thing I remember though mainly is when something of mine became uploaded here by someone else, To this day I still don't know who is was, but I don't really care. At the time of the incident, I did though, even though I shouldn't have, and should have just taken it up to Nels to remove the file. Though today I have to chuckle about it, because they were repaints from back when I first got started into repainting, and my skills from then, to today, have improved a lot. Mainly stepping away from MSPaint and graduating to Paint Shop Pro X.
Ia ora na.
So, there are two files k5la.wav and x_k5la.wav (besides the enamored readme.txt); they are different but
>> their length is the same one: 404 984 bytes;
>> their Properties (in Recorder window) are also identical : PCM 96,000 kHz; 16 bits; Mono.
Good luck to everybody.
Ia ora na faahou.
Sure!
And another thing: x_k5la.wav sounds very much like k5la.wav when you clicked six or seven times to reduce volume in the recorder.
Must we notice that the readme file is called reasdme.txt and the folder KTLA FOR LCOOS?
Very strange upload, indeed. But what can we expect from such an imaginary clown?
Have a nice day.
If he or she wanted to see how much of a question and analysis could be made here - they've got their fix by now I hope?
Can't wait to see what Burger King and Wendy's upload.
