Hey all, dudley evans here, need to know what i'm not understanding in changing horn snd's as i have placed the appropriate mlw horn sounds inside the common sn. folder but when i change the two horn sounds ( one in and the x one for outside snds) i want to a particular engine , such as csx sd40-2 which had sd horn to another such as cn ksl horn removing the old horn wav's i still here the original horn
so what am i missing ? thanks
dudley evans
tks hiball, i changed the smsfile names in the sound folder, both eng. and cab. naming them the name of the horn snd and placed the new snd. files in the folder as well, but when i started the run the same sd horn snd's where noticed the horn sounds are from the mlw horns . i really need a step by step lead here as to how to change these if possible
thanks
When you placed the "new" horn .wav files into the folder - after renaming them, were you asked to overwrite the old ones?
If not, they were not placed in the correct folder that the .sms file is calling for.
Just a hunch.
Also Dudley, have you opened the ENG file with Note/Wordpad to make sure it's going to that particular SMS? Maybe it's referencing a 'Turbo' or 'HEP' style SMS somewhere, and not the one you're thinking it's going to?
