Increasing volume of Radio Chatter on DW Gevo's

Can anyone give me some direction as to increasing the volume of the radio chatter on the newly-released DW Gevo set? Ot is this even possible? I see where the "chatter" section is on the ES44cab.SMS, but have no idea where to begin. Thanks in advance.

    Make a backup of the cab.sms and then try increasing the volume_min_max ( 0.05 0.1 ) a little at a time.

A solution I use, especially if I'm using a route that is supported on railroadradio.net...I use current realworld communications by having railroadradio running while I'm driving in the sim.

Good suggestion, I've used it several times. It beats hearing the same thing over and over. But depending on what route and what time it can also be dead at times.

And/or Curt, you may have to bring the actual WAV volume up in a audio editor. I'm not familiar with your cureent sounds you just got. But I've seen some in past that are incredibly low in actual WAV volume. (And some that can be excruciatingly loud as well.) Try Hiballs method first, and that should hopefully help. If you get to (1.0 1.0) and still find they're too quiet, you'll need a good audio editor then.

I like the Realraidio way as well. Best when you can have a act starting at very near the real world time as well. If AI's are properly set, and can be so awesomely realistic. Scary on my GTA route sometimes with all the GO action.

well thats the nice thing about running railroadradio in the background. It really does have a neat effect with the realtime comms, and whether it's a busy day, or a slow day. they really have added a lot of channels these last few years.

I utilize RailroadRadio now, I find the volume there is not as loud as it should be at times, so that just means I fire up the other computer and adjust the volume to a comfortable level. I find that by using it there is a feel for driving, especially if the various cab sounds interupt the radio!
It is THE way to go, even the Canadian routes here in Ontario are covered to an extent.
