Hi Guys,
gtaradiochatter.zip Am attempting to install the contents of this file to a locomotive for possible use in a pending video.
The file has 647 downloads and having trawled through 30 plus pages of search results with no mention of difficulties it is a safe bet that the problem is at my end.
I will briefly outline the process I employed - I have little experience with the sound aspect of Open Rails. As a result the instructions were somewhat confusing with the introduction of nominated route and sound sets. However I determined that I should place the CN Radiochatter file into a newly created Common.SND folder and then via cut and paste updated the relative Cab.sms file. I then increased the number of Streams from 21 to 35 to account for the 14 applicable to the newly introduced radiochatter stream. And the end result is........nothing. After the unsuccessful run of the locomotive I referred to the Open Rails log and it makes specific mention as per the following
Warning: 17 missing Stream(s) in C:\1OpenRails-Niagara Corridor\trains\trainset\CN_ES44DC_2295\sound\GE_E S44AC_cab.sms:line 516
Warning: Expected depth 0; got depth 2 at end of file (missing ')'?) in C:\1OpenRails-Niagara Corridor\trains\trainset\CN_ES44DC_2295\sound\GE_E S44AC_cab.sms:line 517
I'm betting that the locomotive 'knows' the radiochatter exists but for whatever reason is unable to locate same. And the reference to '17 missing streams' suggests three in some other capacity are missing however if I don't introduce the radiochatter file nothing else is impacted with the locomotive operation.
If someone well versed in sound could run their eye over my situation then would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Duncan
