sms file tutorial?

Is there any documentation on how to code sms files? An explanation of the commands and syntax used to set loops and triggers would be helpful.

I'm fairly sure there is no documentation for the sms, not that I've ever heard of. Look in the sims Utils\ffedit folder for the loadstr.hdr file. About 80% of the way thru it lists all the acceptable instructions for the sms. To learn the syntax is simply a case of looking at the existing files. Virtually all of the instructions are used somewhere.

There is no official documentation on the Sound Management Subsystem files. Look in FFEdit's loadstr.hdr file as the previous post suggested. It has all the acceptable operations and properties. However, it does not say how to use them or what acceptable values are. You'll just have to poke around in existing .smses to find what you're looking for.
