I went looking through the technical documents for MSTS. There is nothing in them on sound for locos. Is there anything about this on any of the MSTS sites? It would appear, having examinerd the steam chuff files, that there are two files per sound. One is stereo. Lets call it chuff wav. There will also be x_chuff.wav which is monoral. Has this matter been discussed in detail and in order on any of the web sites or the technical literature?

There's been lots of discussion, unfortunatley,before the sound forum, it got spread all over the place. So the threads are, maybe 1 a week in each forum!
The mono files are the sounds you hear outside, stereo are for the cabview and other inside views.
It's a shame that some one can't find all the posts and turn them into a tutorial! Personally, though, I'd rather spend my time improving on the sounds with what I've learned over the last several months of butting my head against the wall while learning! Really, changes are pretty easy, just back up a file before you try a change, and post hear when you're stumped!
