When I used CB1.5 to check a new loco, I got the following error message: "The sound file a380_power_cruise8.wav specified by the file 380Cab.sms does not exist in the folder "
CB is correct, the file doesn't exist (I searched for a forum topic on this and got no results at all) - it doesn't seem to affect the steam loco sound, but why would 380cab.sms call for a file that doesn't exist - other than sloppy programming? There is a series of "a380_power_cruise" files number 0 through 7. But no 8 in the series.
In the 380 sound file folder there is also a series of files "x_a380_power_cruisen.wav" Numbered 0 thorugh 8 - there is an 8 here - but the files do not appear to be anything like their cousins without the "x" prefix. File size, for one thingk is completely different.
Natch, I have checked the original 380 sound directory files, all the files that pertain in the 380 overall folder and both of my TS installations (on different machines) indicate the same lack of this file.
I know that sloppy programming work is not unusual in TS - or other apps for that matter. What I find curious is the lack of mention of this anywhere I can find on this forum, also the lack of a fix in the Library - which I also searched thoroughly.
Any ideas?
