RE: Need help editing a horn!
I've laready looked at it once before, but it was way over my mind.
I'll take another look, though.

Thats how I learned to. Go to the sound editing tutorial. The trick is to cut out the middle section and have the beginning and end to play. And the key to a good loop is to cut each section out in a low "dip" in the sound. But the tutorial will explain it to you. Screenshots are included with this detailed tutorial.

RE: Need help editing a horn!
Making horns loop is possibly the hardest task in sound editing. It really boils down to whether the recording is good enough or not. It needs to have two short periods in it that are identical and a resonable time distance apart so that they can be used for the join of the loop. You might be able to filter or otherwise adjust the sound to achieve this but often it results in a significant loss in the original sound.

Need help editing a horn!
Hey, all. I do have Goldwave, and have tried extensively to edit the two horn sounds from a Locomotive. The problem with the horns is that the guy who recorded/looped them has the horn looping entirely! So instead of "BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaa" It's "BrAAAAa BrAAAAa BrAAAAa".
Anyways, I have tried, like I said, extensively to make the horns loop preperly. But, I have given up.
If someone could please make the horns loop properly , I would be very much in gratitude.
If you could help, please private message me.
The only problem is, these horns are the ones that came with the Heidi Express, so would this be illegal? I mean, there is a train in the file library that does use the sounds from Heidi.
Well, anyways, Thanks.
