    Eric,

I notice that when I check the latest files, I see that KDSUB1a was evidently accepted twice. I did not believe it had been the first time. Anyway, there are two copies of it, which should be the same and so one can be removed. It is a very well done route enhancement and hopefully using RouteRiter on it will compress the size a bit more. On it, though I would not recommend doing the 2nd step in compression where the batch file is created. I ass/u/me that future simmers will not have the default routes so that removal of default items would wreck the route. On my future ones, I don't plan to do that, I'll just have unused items removed. As a Southern Rwy. employee, everyone of us officer employees had two plaques on our desk. Ass/U/Me and YCSFSOYA. Translation:
Assume makes an Ass out of you and Me = ASS/U/ME. And "YOU CAN'T SELL FREIGHT SITTING ON YOUR ASS" = YCSFSOYA. Every Southern officer was put in a class of basic things you needed to know to see freight service. Charm school was more about how to properly cuss out a subordinate. What a relief Chessie was!

The first one was created with the failed attempt - the catalog entry gets created as a placeholder for the file upload. It will get cleaned up after a few days without a file attached.

As uploader, you see this. The rest of the audience doesn't.

Probably the quote below from post#17 provides the answer, Eric is working on getting it ready for the library. Keep checking.

Yep, saw that. But I think that meant what Jerry is seeing on his side as the uploader would get cleaned up after a few days. My question was more related to any copyright concerns Eric may have found as he repacked it.

TrainSimulations asked to review which of their files might be included, so it may take a few days to be made public.

I'll send Kenny a personal and see if he can help with that.

                  Eric,

Two routes that I purchased from the old Streamlines site was DRGW Green River and BNSF Scenic Sub in which the latter of the two is now a free route offered from Trainsimulations with a link to it here in the library. I looked through the shape folder and looks like the bulk of the pay ware stuff was ENR, AZ, SNO_AZ vegetation and structures. Although there are more in the route, these file names stand out a little.

You guys are the professionals here, I really don't see what the problem is. None of us is trying to profit from their work and from what I can tell, it looks like all this stuff is available in the free routes they offer. Scenic Sub and Mactier.

Let me know if I can be of any more help with this issue.

                  Kenny

                    Eric,

When I zipped this route up to send to Jerry, I tried to get rid of any unused shapes using Routeriter but could not find the function that does this. I'm sure this would help reduce the size and as far as the payware, I know a lot of the Garber stuff that's in the route is unused as well as Streamline shapes.

No worries -- I'm going to run Route_Riter on it as Jerry's isn't behaving, and that will generate the list of remaining shapes.

As for the request by Streamlines/TrainSimulations... They made a business decision to have the Scenic Sub available, but the Starter Route docs don't state the ability for those shapes to be redistributed. Let's see what comes from the review.

Worst case, a few shapes might need to be removed with instructions to copy them over from the Starter Route like you'd have to do for a reskin.

Sorry for the delay -- TrainSimulations took a look and were fine with the few shapes that were used. That's not a blanket approval for all route builders, but the positive story here is to ask for permission and it just might be granted.

It should be available for download later tonight.

                              Eric, This is great news!
I think it's important to support great vendors who are understanding about stuff like this.
I just went to TrainSimulations.net and purchased another route.

                                Eric,

Thank you for all the help getting this approved and added to the library. I believe that everyone that downloades this one will enjoy it. Lots of little eye candy jewels all over the route but you have to look for them. An example below.

I have reworked Austin Yoder's Pocahontas and East River Districts as well. I am in the process of going back through them and reworking my work since these were the first routes that I tried doing this with. I used some of the same Trainsimulations shapes in them as well but not as many as I did in Jerrys route. hopefully we can upload those sometime soon.

                                Kenny
