I've been unsuccessfully hunting for the Black Country 1 route (by Don Hinton). I found numerous activity files, etc. for it but not the route itself. According to the Train Sim Safe House website, the route is no longer available after the closure of UKTS. But the same can probably be said for other routes that were originally made available via UKTS.
Any help in locating this route would be much appreciated.
Black Country 1 was a UKTS community CD. With the closure of UKTS these CDs became unavailable. Maybe someone has one they no longer require and could mail it to you/
Beer is not a matter of life or death, it is much more serious than that.
baldwin, thank you for your comment – even though it wasn't what I was hoping to hear! While I was a member of UKTS, I acquired three mini routes from them. I'd hoped that other UKTS CD routes had somehow been uploaded to Trainsim but it seems not.
Hi Royal Hudson,
Many of the routes which were available on CD/DVD were never available for download from the UKTS library.
Two versions of the Black Country route were available for download and have been transferred to this site's library. Black Country - LNWR 1920 (file ID 36696 + 36720) and Black Country - LMS 1930 (file ID 38333). For use in Open Rails, a working turntable patch has been added to each version - file IDs 37867 and 38345 respectively.
There is no mention in the documentation of either version, but you should be aware that activities written for the original Black Country 1 route may not run due to changes in the track database.
