Yep, I need to rewrite that instructions file based on a few things that have changed for the better in the past six months...

Take a look at the tutorial here: https://www.trainsim.com/forums/arti...-on-windows-11

I'd recommend f:/ORTS for content that isnt from Streamlines. Do not mix the TS routes with others.

After you've created drive:/ORTS with the required subfolders in the tutorial, do the following:

    Download and install ScaleRail
    Download and install ScaleRoads
Download and install Scalerail 177a update
Download and install and Scalerail Dummy Node fix

(They all have installers... be sure to direct them to drive:/orts)

Download and copy the TSection 58a to drive:/ORTS/Global. Replace any existing TSection.dat.
    .
Now... you're ready to copy the CNW route into drive:/ORTS/Routes
If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

Is that last one called something like scalerail_1tdmy_fix.zip?

Any need for any of the other scalerail downloads? (ie sr_common_textures.zip, etc)

Yes, that's the dummy node switch. In the earlier msts, there was a problem with unbroken track that was longer than 10 km or so.

There should be no need to install the texture packs. Those are there for developers who are building or modifying a route. All the textures needed for the CNW should already be present in the textures folder.

Eric, I'm just getting back to this and have a few more questions...
When you say I don't need the texture packs, do you mean the Terrex-2021 and Terrex-2022.zip files?

Also this might just be a TS legacy thing, but I bought the BLW CNW locomotive pack.
The smoke is a series of black squares- is that expected?

That was related to Scalerail's texture packs.

You'll need the Terrtex files. 2021 is the base installation, and 2022 is any files that were re-painted (which there are a few).
