Thanks guys.
And for the signals I am lucky, the only Monon portion left today is some of Monon to Monticello, New Albany to Bedford.
Crawfordsville to Cloverdale.
Hammond area to Monon and Monon down to Crawfordsville, which is used alot.
The Hammond to Monon to Crawfordsville just a few years ago started to get new signals, so 2000 era is correct.

What a fabulous route! A tip of my hat and my heartfelt thanks for all the hard work that went into your creation. Now, what I would really love to see is the BLW team come up with a model of the Illinois Central's "City of New Orleans" that I could run on this superb Midwest scenery (even if it wasn't prototypical)
Thanks, Rick, and to all the others that had a hand in the making of this route.Larry Steiner

Monon-2 17 finished today.
I went ahead and improved Chicago to Hammond and finished all the ERA changes for all 4 era swap out bat files to use.
Most of the block buildings in cities have been replaced with real buildings and the era swap outs change the Chicago downtown area also.
Now you can go drive steam engines in 1950 Monon, or switch to 1965 Monon, 1972 L&N or 2000 CSX time periods.
Era change makes the following changes.
Static Trains
Some buildings
Car Spawner cars, trucks and buses
Static cars, trucks and buses
I am now making activities for the route which will be many and not just all running flat out.
The activities will require BLW/ZT payware and freeware again.
Activities from previous versions will not work.
Release should be end of April if I am lucky, but probably in May 2014.Last edited by Rick-MONON; 03-29-2014, 13:17.

Yes Neil, you will.

It will be much easier this time for you.
You will like Chicago.
South Chicago also has ROW Mosaic now.
Just remember, there are 4 eras!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by Rick-MONON; 03-29-2014, 16:12.

Monon-2 Version 17
HI Rick,
The route looks fantastic - I'm amazed by something new every time I run it (v16)... One of the few period routes that let you run steam locomotives at high speed on relatively flat rail... I saw you mention that v17 is the end of the road because you plan to add payware products - does that mean from here on out V17 will be the last publicly shared route - or - that any new versions might still be shared but would require you to own the payware products used in the route ? Either way you've given us a heck of a run - thanks for sharing your labor of love... The Monon has to be the one of the most impressive achievements ever made for MSTS...Last edited by scottb613; 04-14-2014, 07:47.

Well, yes, it is the end. Going on 9 years and it is time to move on to something else. I will be adding payware to it from what I have for the Route for my use and personal preference. I will leave the upcoming version 17 on the website for a long time though.Last edited by Rick-MONON; 04-14-2014, 07:57.
