Z-LACWSP9L (BNSF 6042 East) traversing the west edge of the Seligman sub at dusk, hitting Valentine by nightfall.

              EK,
I really like the "West Berry" shot. Nice portrait of a railroad control point.

One on the Redding route, heavily modified:

The evolution of commuter trains in Bakersfield is seen in this series of shots, ranging from when the service was being tested using Caltrain F40s, to the original F59 with a Pepsi Can, to the now common California cars, with the final shot coming full circle with one of the Caltrans painted NPCUs on the east end of a Com/Arrow set.

Bwyrick, where's you get the California cab car horn on the roof? I know it's similar to 3DTrains' models but I've been searching for it for some time.

It started off as the original Surfliner cabcar, that a friend and I redid the textures on, and I built a new FA for to relocate the horn, add the beacon, and redo the lights to better reflect the original light package they were built with, then blanked for the traditional triangular light placement.

I knew it was a freight animation. Where can I find that piece?

I guess I'll open Pandora's Box (or if you prefer, the Pandorica), the cat out of the bag, pick your metaphor: after some discussion with Brody, I decided to begin a project that I had gathered some data and resources a while ago - a route project I hereby dub "The Northern California Route" - taking on the UPRR from around Cape Horn, CA to Salinas, CA. This entails much of the routes not present in the simulator (in a similar approach that Frank Christ began many years ago if anybody remembers that Cal-P route he started). For now, I decided t aim towards the middle and build from scratch, the Martinez, Niles, Coast, Oakland subdivisions and the many shortlines and branches from the mainlines before doing the rest of Northern California. I started work on the route from Woodland, CA (my current hometown, so to speak) and headed to Sacramento, and from there turned my work to the west towards the proposed end of the route. I decided on this project as I got a little bored with my fictional railroad, and wanted a fresh approach for some reality.
On a side note, I recently repainted a few BLW passenger cars to fit with my YSLR pack I uploaded here a couple years ago. I'll release them here after I get permissions and the like, but here's a preview of the YSLR on home rails for the first time since I started working with MSTS/ORTS in 2009.

The caboose is SLI, the locomotive is from my YSLR Pack.
