Hiawatha on the RMD-West
Needed a break tonight on some duties I been doing so decided to run the RMD-West from west to east. Haven't really ran in the route in detail since downloaded so decided to run the Olympian Hiawatha on it from west to east on autopilot. This way I got to take in the sights & to say the least, I was in awe !
Enjoy...........- Mark -

Those are very nice, especially with round wheels, Luke
Pete,
I got up in 2001 last spring at one of our local "Railroad Days" festivals, as a CP stack train was slowly rolling east out of Bensenville Yard:

Outstanding Neil! I love that cab shot.
I wouldn't have thought there was a combo of UP, Union Pacific, loco types, etc I hadn't tried searching for in google or flickr over the years, so realising those two had slipped through the net was a bit of a shock. I'll have to do a bit of research now... are both of them still around, do they only show up at events like the one you photographed them at, what was their operational history etc? Interesting pair.
Cheers mate.

Someone here will know the railroad power "tracking" site for the U.S., and hopefully post it.
Yes, they still pull revenue freight as far as I know. Last month, one was spotted a few times along the Geneva Sub (UP Global II (Proviso Yard) - westward towards West Chicago, and to points further west.Neil

Great shots Ross. noticed the cab view seems to be shifted to the wrong side of the track? Strange! it's correct on the Canadian model.
