Any Railroad, Any Route, Any Era - Part 11

Everyone needs to follow the guidelines, starting with what's been in place for years and years :

    https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showth...sting-tutorial!)

Summarized for those with shorter attention spans:
    • If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all
    • If you have something you're not supposed to have in the first place, don't post pictures of it
    • Post the name of the route and whose equipment you're showing off -- that eliminates 90% of the comments

If you still feel the urge to be ultra-critical, feel free to use PM's or post to a site like Facebook where that type of activity is more welcome.

Those who can't follow the spirit and intent of these three simple rules may find themselves facing a one-week penalty application of the brakes...

Also, as with all threads in the screen shot forum, comments and posts without photos are subject to removal at some point in the future.

    Previous thread: https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showth...ny-Era-Part-10

    Enjoy, and be safe!

Seems I wasn't lucky enough to get the latest Blackfoot route...

Here is what I've been doing.. in real life actually.. Engineer/Conductor of the big road train. This was based off Monday's train. (though my day off, the following day I work, running the train, with 60 cars in tow..)

GMTX 2663 GP38-2, leads VTR 307 GP40-2 and 51 cars bound for Burlington, up and over Thompsons Point Hill. This hill drags us down, but thankfully it's a 40mph section of track. 15 loads of gasoline on the tail, 35 loaded salt cars, and one boxcar on the headpin full of lumber.

Rating for the section between Middlebury and Burlington is 3000 tons per GP40-2/GP38-2. Some days we are under, some days we are over by maybe 200 tons. Though the 5000 total HP helps a lot, as well as the high track speed.

        Looking at the sad headlights,
Should this be in the MSTS Screen Shot Forum ?
Looks like an OR Screenshot to me.

Does it really matter, I'm seeing plenty of OR shots in this as well. Who cares?
Also, at 2am, those "sad headlights" look pretty much exactly as my screen shot. *rolls eyes*

Oh man... them headlights I tell ya!

NECR looks like it's prowling in the bushes, after dropping off a set of centerbeams.

Loaded cement cars for a customer further north on the NECR..

I really do like those two lead units, prototypical or not. What's the story with them - personal reskins/edits? They are sharp as a razor!

These are a few personal reskins that I did both for the heck of it and to test out my repaint abilities. The duo are a part of my second repaint, with the first being the MRL F45s seen below (kudos to metrarailboy1 for completing the chevrons on those lokies). Both were done with .psds provided by friends in the train sim community.
