    X.2673 - download zip corrupt

Tried again, still no luck, but have noticed that the size of the ZIP has increased by about 2000 Kb since the X.2659 !

I'm getting the same results as Otto with WinRAR, diagnostics says archive is corrupt, checksum error in Documentation Manual for what it's worth.

I wonder whether that download web site has a counter to record the number of downloads from it like my web site has, indicating how many have downloaded the experimental versions ?

Judging by the number of posts in this forum interest in ORTS is not what is has been ?

I didn't get any error message and the update installed without any problems.

That is now twice the size of the previous X.2659 download, WINZIP should be able to archive, unless it is a limited Freeware copy and not a Licensed and paid for version !

I have also tried unzipping it after downloading it with the WIN-XP 3SP Internet Explorer-8 and it also did not work.

Whatever archiver ORTS have used to create this corrupt ZIP it is obviously not working for WINZIP to expand it and neither is it with WINRAR and 7-Zip, I also have.

WinZip v15.5 worked for me on the 2673 download. <shrug>

And you base that sweeping conclusion on just the number of posts?
Did you stop to think that the majority of OR discussion takes place in another forum?
Or that lack of chatter could mean that there are less irritations to raise?

                  Hi,
No problem with X2673 here. Downloaded at 21:41 GMT 28/11/2014, unpacked and run at 21:43. Also noticed that X2673 is almost twice the size of last week's release, X2659!
I'm running Google Chrome and 7Zip under Win7 Home Premium 64-bit.

                  Cheers,
                  Ged

Well, for what it's worth, 2673 bombed for me the first time I ran the auto-update. Had to trick it into running a second time.

Being also a member of Elvas Tower, not much action there either in other than MSTS / MSTSBin forums, found a link to James Ross download site which let me unzip his download and had another go at trying to WINZIP unzip the OpenRails Experimental 2673 and it is still corrupt.

Getting severe Angina chest pains again after getting stressed trying to make this ORTS ZIP work and closing down my computer to go to bed last night I am afraid I shall have to retire from ORTS the same as I had to with Steam-DTG-TS-2015, its last update 2 days ago totally screwing up TS-2015. making it unplayable on-line as well as off-line and had to revert to its working Backup !

Got something better to do now, trying the impossible again, merging the RSC\StevensPass route with eyein12's Seattle route.

Although not using the same Start Tile they are not overlapping like the Thomas Bontempo routes I have merged into the C-W-C route on my web site.

That sort of stress, succeeding doing something difficult, fires up my brain, gets the Adrenalin going and is satisfyingly healthy !

Rather than keep beating your head against the wall with 2673, why not just fall back to 2670 or 2671, and wait for 2674?...

Downloaded the zip file earlier this morning. All good, nothing corrupt this time. Everything in place and operating. First time was probably caused by larger Documentation Manual, anyway all moot now. It happens, no worries.
