    NEC 4.0 Signal Problem

Hello guys, I am running old activities in ORTS/ORMG and the CPL Signals in the NEC 4.0 Route are not working properly. Some of them are and some are not. The Approach and Stop Signals are working fine. On the main the Clear Signals are not working. On the Signal Gantries they work but on a signal pole on the ground they are not. The signals are black except for the White Light on top or bottom. I have attached a picture of the problem. I hope somebody can help me fix the problem.

    Thanks in advance,

As always, post a log file.

I did not know I had to post a log file. I'll do that sometime tomorrow.

It looks like the script (in the sigscr file) for the signal type CPL_Main_A references SIGASP_CLEAR_2, which is not specified in the sigcfg (it should be SIGASP_CLEAR_1). The solution is to change the offending entry in the sigscr to say SIGASP_CLEAR_1. That should fix it

          My CPL_Main_A only references SIGASP_CLEAR_1?

            Thanks guys.

              Thanks for this!

I'm new to playing this route in Open Rails and this was bugging me.

One other thing (not to hijack the thread, but I'm running across another signal problem. There are occasional red lights on signals on the right side of the track that are red, but these signals don't show up in the track monitor and the subsequent signals don't appear until I pass the red light (with no penalty).

An example of this in the NEC4 rout is at milepost 34 near Harmony. In the Map Window on the Timetable tab, the signal is labeled 1057. Immediately after passing this signal, the next one appears 1.5 miles away.

I have a game saved at this point, but I don't know how to proceed to trace this problem.

Thanks in advance to anyone who may read this.

              Steve

Playing some more, I think my signal issue is related to resuming a saved game in OR.

You can disregard the prior two posts. I took the issue to Elvas Tower.

BTW... the workaround is to press CTRL-M twice.
