    Turntable Question

Hello all, a while back someone asked about getting the turntable to operate on the FBL route.

I did some work, learning again. I got Eric's animated SR turntable to rotate.

However, when it does the locomotive stays in place while the turntable rotates, I had this problem once before but that was way before the default track replacements came.
I however can not recall really what the problem may be.

And the virtual mechanical forces are getting rather tired of seeing the levitating locomotive .

Everything looks alright in the Dat file.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

A bit of an update I finally got the locomotive to turn with Eric's animated scale rail version of the Turntable. It was a very simple error on my part.

Now I can update my Ohio Division project, Parkersburg branch project, and the FBL with them.

If anyone is interested over the next few days I could whip up an update to get the FBL turntable spinning. It is completely up to everyone if there is interest.

Posting it would be great and then could be used on other turntables to fix them.

        Will certainly do that.

I figured having more operable turntables around would be a great addition.

I do have it working in the FBL, I also have it working on a few other scale rail routes I have. I tried uploading and it says file not approved, I assume it has to be approved before it is available to download. Of course, I may have goofed up during the upload.

The one thing I do recommend is having the V4.02 update installed beforehand. I used Eric'c release of the Scale Rail 37m turntable which he added the animation to.

So really all you have to do is drop that Scale Rail 37 m turntable into the global shapes, then drop the TRK and DAT file into the routes openrail folder and you should be ready to go. Of course, you want the scale rail textures installed as well. But if you have the FBL you already have that line item.

I just logged on and saw it, I approved it and should be available. Yes, every download must be approved, we look to make sure, there is a readme file, there are no copyrighted material included, and all upload procedures were followed.

This should probably be bundled with the upload.... sr_turntable_w_37m.zip https://www.trainsim.com/forums/file...leid?fid=88783

I looked at it, but did not want to muck it up...to bundle requires a new form to be started. Copied link to thread for convenience.

Possibly instructions for those that don't know how to add the entries to the TRK and DAT files. You know someone like me

DITTO 😄 -- although I suspect we'd both muddle through, somehow.

No need to edit, just drop the SR_FBLine4.trk and turntables.dat files into the openrails folder that's inside the SR_FBLine4 route.

Okay, easy-peasy my kind of chore.

Edit: Saturday (noonish) --- turntable installed & working. Thanks all.
