Can't wait to get home and purchase these!

I think I may have found some trailers to fit perfectly on the BAR flat I did.

To date I have purchased a total of 88 products from Trainsimulations (SLI) spanning well over a decade, so it's safe to say I like their product and believe in supporting the few payware companies out there. However, I feel this last effort is rather outdated - the reason being how often in the past ten years or so have you seen trailers with railroad names on them? Hardly ever! Plus, I see none of the more familiar names, such as FedEx USPS, UPS, JB Hunt, Schnelder, and so on. I guess for those of you who run trains back in the 60's or70's these are fine, but for the first time in ages, I'm going to pass.

I mean, these are meant for the 1980's era when TOFC was strong going. They will be perfect for the upcoming Sandpatch route, perfect for the SP Black Butte (Shasta Route) and excellent for the DRGW Green River, ATSF Seligman, and other routes based in the 1980 time frame. Heck, they will be perfect as pass through trains through Rigby Yard on the MEC route of mine.

I have a hunch that all these 1970's-80's car packs, etc. are a warm-up for the new Sandpatch release. What I do hope is that TS will follow the same formula as they did with Seligman, and also offer an "updated" Sandpatch Route for the current era not to far down the road. That strategy on Seligman was a brilliant move for TS, and one that I hope that they do repeat.

OK, Shawn, you talked me into it. I'm really looking forward to the Sandpatch route and if you say they'll be ideal for this route, I'll take your word for it and go get them. So, now my SLI/Trainsimulations count is 89 - only 18 more to go until they match my Diesels West purchases!

I mean, I am a little biased. My grandfather was a trucker for many years, I am a railroading, so I like both trucks and trains, and seeing them combined, I have to grab, regardless of the era. haha.

Plus, owning this pack, will give the ability to use the trailer textures needed for my pair of BAR 89 foot flats I plan to release this coming week.

Hopefully one day we will see some 28-foot pup van trailers commonly seen on B&O Jets. That is something sorely missing I think.

I know I'm looking forward to this set. Saw many of these on the road back in the day....

I'm hoping for some oceanic containers on trailers on flats. We don't have any of those, with the correct trailer chassis.

Let's not forget the Flexi-Van cars that railroads like NYC and IC ran. Those trailers were also seen on regular TOFC flats too.

For those wanting to do repaints, this will be the first release of ours to include repaint templates. They will be posted in the TrainSim library, and on our website in the coming days.

                          Cheers,
