    Ns_hopper_pack

Scoured TS files for many hours for the 'NS_HOPPER_PACK' file with no luck. Also looked into payware sites for this file without luck. Can anyone decipher what Zip file opens to 'NS_HOPPER_PACK' ?

A hint: coal hopper NS_484903_LOAD is contained in the 'NS_HOPPER_PACK'.

    Thanks.

A much better hint when making these kind of requests would be reason why, and by that I mean what is causing you to look for the file. My best guess is you are trying to get an activity to run on a route. but again you failed to include that information.

We don't know what activity this piece of rolling stock is for, or what route the activity is for.

Most activity's in the file library that use non default equipment list that equipment in the form of the zip name or the title of the library entry the readme file that comes with the activity. If the activity you are having a problem with does not include this information in the readme I would first try to contact the original author.

      Hi lvlender,

This is the read-me from the NS_HOPPER_PACK... Please take note of the date at the top of the read-me. I think you would be better off getting some newer rolling stock for replacement purpose.

README for "Seaview Railways 34' hoppers"

      Fictional history:

Seaview purchased their 34 foot hoppers from the Delaware & Hudson in 1989. SVRX's Port Iguana shops rebuilt the cars when they recieved them, and immidiatly gave them Seaview's new "Aqua Flash" paint.

Seaview commonly uses these hoppers on small freighs from the Underwater Mining Dome. They currently have a fleet of 15.

I seem to recall the pack was made for the Horseshoe Curve route that Austin Yoder made and that the pack was done by either Diesels West or SLI.

You don't really need those specific hoppers, most of us substitute something --- for instance this NS Hopper pack from the library >>> https://www.trainsim.com/forums/file...leid?fid=79609

I'm having a real problem understanding why lvlender spends hours of head-banging looking for obsolete/unobtanium rolling stock rather than just opening the consist file in a consist editor (TSRE AE, for example) and replacing the missing rolling stock with stock that he/she already has. It's not difficult and is much less frustrating. There is also plenty of freeware stock out there to download and use.

My problem also, it's puzzling! Perhaps the honorable member likes the hunt?

MSTS Activity--Pocahontas Route Collection. Eight activities on the Pocahontas Route and the on Tug Fork Branch. You drive different full and empty coal trains from and to the different mines on this branch and do the switching work. By Ewald Kuenze.

The hoppers are used in eight activities. I certainly do not wish to recycle the act and consist files for eight activities if the uploaded hopper file 'NS_HOPPER_PACK' is available on T/S.

I think it's more likely that lvlender doesn't have the confidence to replace stock in a consist.
I do have the original NS pack from KLW which contains those NS hoppers. I don't know how we stand, copyright-wise, but could offer it to lvlender as a download from my Google Drive.

                        Cheers,

                          Hello peterman,

I read your posting with great interest, hoping it could guide me to the uploaded 'NS_HOPPER_PACK' . Your posting speaks of a fictional Seaview route but, contains nothing about 'NS_HOPPER_PACK'. Perhaps you copied the wrong readme file ??

Slipperman is right. The NS Hopper pack was a free download from the KLW website included with the NS Loco Pack. However, for some reason the NS Hopper Pack was removed from the NS Loco megapack, and now only the loco pack is available. Don't waste time contacting Kurt, I tried numerous times without success. I eventually used train-sim File #69261-hr100tp2.zip and swapped these for the missing hoppers. This file has 26 different cars NS and 12 N&W.

For what it is worth, before Kurt left the community for good, he had given me the permission to upload any KLW content as seen fit to the library here. However, I since have lost all the KLW equipment over the years due to computer crashes etc, before I was able to afford an external hard drive that I store everything I wish to keep.

If someone wishes to upload anything KLW related, I don't see a problem with it. Just toss my name in the upload, something like "Uploaded on behalf of Shawn Kelley, with mutual agreement and permission provided from Kurt K.) Or something like that, and I do apologize, as I am drawing a blank on the spelling of his last name at the moment.

This also will put the pressure onto me if he does rise from the ashes and decides he doesn't want his files up here, him and I can hash it out.
