    Include Files

For the life of me, I cannot seem to find the files that have the coupler include files or brake include files. Some of the equipment I recently downloaded, calls for it, and they say it's under "Common.Inc//Locomotives//Couplers//Std_TypeF_Coupler.inc" or "Common.Inc//Locomotives//Brakes//Std_Loco_Brakes.inc". They appear to be from the "Standard" files from Gerry Storey on here, but I just checked the following files of lococarbody.zip, orts_standard_engines.zip, orts_std_eng_ver2.zip, and orts_std_eng_ver2_updates.zip and I didn't seem to find anything about the brakes or Ftype Couplers.

Had to cheat a bit and use what I could from the TrainSimulations files. Thanks for anyone able to point me in the right direction. I could also be looking in the wrong place..

I found them in this download. This might work? https://www.trainsim.com/forums/file...leid?fid=85300

Ah, that is probably where I first found them, thank you, I really appreciate that!

Shawn, if you ever need any of that stuff, for whatever, just drop me a PM. I also use the new TrainSimulations releases, good OR physics, saves work for me.

          Gerry, I appreciate it.
I'm slowly dabbling into the "Inc" files for some of my locomotives. Of course, just a simple line to have it point to what I want used, I haven't removed anything from the engine files just yet as I haven't really got the grasp of what's needed and what isn't just yet.

The included files from NAVS and from TS I tend to use a lot for the freight equipment, while most locomotives still use those from TS, but I'm slowly doing some mix and matches so that everything isn't the same, because honestly nothing is the same in reality.

For example, I could have three SD70M-2's in a train, with only two producing the full 4300 HP, while one is struggling to produce 4000 hp, then of course combined traction motor issues and what not.. we should have purchased the AC versions.. haha

Yeah, I would love OR to have that kind of "Intelligence" coded into it --- to introduce local variations in the behavior of locomotives and wagons....that would mirror reality --- maybe in the future.

Assuming I'm reading this correctly Gerry, then we do have a form of that with the 'Activity Randomization' feature in options. In addition to the usual 'hotbox' scenarios it also occasionally throws up 'compressor failure' together with some white smoke and consequent power loss.
              Regards,

Yep, it's a beginning....I was referring to something with a little more "ATI"** added to it. **Artificial Train Intelligence

Every time I run OR I think back to the first time I ran the sim in 2013....there has been absolutely wonderful progress since then -- all from a group of volunteers.....THANKS to all them.
                Cheers, Gerry

Ah, apparently I had that box unmarked. Well, now to see how it plays out.
