    Separation or Complete Packaging?

    Folks,
Over the past year or two, maybe longer. I have collected and sat on finished projects, ranging from boxcars, to well cars.

Now, I am looking at releasing them, and have come to the question, should I release them all in different groups. Say, Boxcars, Tankcars, Flatcars, etc, or should I just put them all in one giant package and release?

The trouble too is, half will be freeware models, the other half will be payware models, and will require you to have the payware shapes from Trainsimulations.

As of right now, it's roughly 80-85 freight cars in total, with possibly more to be added before the final release. This package may or may not include a set of GMTX, Vermont Railway, and Guilford painted locomotives using both freeware and payware models as well..

This is an attempt to release some of the items I continue to.. forget about. I am trying though!

Some of the cars, just to show a few.....

I would say the complete package.
Multiple packages would take MUCH longer.

I agree with Derek. Fine looking work!! I don't know how you find the time.

I'll be the detractor. Separate the freeware from payware-required.

One of ideas is to group payware and non-payware. No matter really how, in dir structure or completely separated zip files.

          Have a good day

This is stuff that's been building up since 2019. Sadly.

As for keeping the freeware and payware required files separate, that's probably the route I will take with this one. Will making it a heck of a lot easier to package and write up readmes!

Here is a video, showcasing what is to be offered, both freeware, and payware (I didn't include the Herzog set however, as that's currently a work in progress)
I was planning to add some more to this whole package, however, at just about 85 total cars, I think I will leave it at that, and once it's all said and done with this one, start another set. Next set won't be as massive, as I hope to not have them set for a long time like I did these!

Holy Cow, Shawn, that's quite a collection. An impressive one, too, I might add. I guess I'd suggest separating them into two groups. Just my personal preference. And, I might add - a great big THANK YOU!!!!

A few more added, that I had found either in another folder or just needed a few tweaks to the files.

I am not going to set an exact date of when this will all be released, but it should be before Jan 1st. That way I can start the new year fresh with projects (focus on my routes).

The freeware portion will most likely be released before the end of the year, as I have that all set and ready to upload.
The payware required portion, is another story. I need to go through and figure out which models I had actually used, and list the requirements of each car needed. I believe most of the cars are still available on their website anyways, so it may work out.

It's crazy - with the bare minimum of US content being released as freeware, this got me pretty excited. So much to look forward to.
                              Very grateful, Shawn.
