The new set being pushed overnight has a change as far as the water troughs go... I'm using the watertop and watermid textures from the route's environment files, since there's not a consistent water texture elsewhere. That should make it easier to swap out in the shape file if you have something else you prefer.

Thank you for working on the water troughs.
But wouldn't it make more sense to use the existing ACleanTrack2.ace from the EUROPE1 route and place the mapping on it? This still ensures that the tracks only need to be replaced in the global folder.

Edit: The image shows the original Kuju tracks with new textures.

I can do a substitute piece using acleantrack2, but it would only that would work only with the Europe 2 route or anyone who thought to include the water in that portion of the texture. Everyone else will see ballast in the trough, and that's not a desired outcome.

Using the environment variable textures will work with any route.

I've uploaded a set of alternate pieces that can be used with that texture. My main concern is the rail side and railhead quality are extremely poor for those two routes. It's not something I'd want to use in one of my own routes vs. the route's water tile textures.

Thank you very much for your work, I didn't expect that anymore.
Here is the result in the EUROPA1 route with default-track-ATrack, the new watertroughs and new textures.

Just for fun... I'm downloading a couple India routes to see how it holds up.

Pretty darn well, actually.... This is RailIndia aka Deoli aka Patna-Calcutta-Puri Route ( https://www.trainsim.com/forums/file...e?bundle=83653 )

Aside from the dynamic track (I failed to install the TrackProfile subfolder and STF file to the route), I think this looks fairly good.

As for the route... it could just as easily be in China or the Northeast Corridor...

My only misgiving on the replacement tracks are the slip switches. This appears to be a modular slip, and I'm not really sure what could have been done with three separate pieces overlapping each other.

That looks very good. Only the legs in the outer radius are a little too long. I've already tried to say that here.

I love the new track work, but I have a problem with how the textures are handled.

                  Here's my acleantrack2,

Is this the way it's going to stay or do you have more work to do?

Jan, I understand what you're saying and could rework the track geometry to match what you've shown, but then the wheels on the bogies would not track correctly because the sim follows the TSection geometry, not the physical shape....

Randy, nothing is set in stone. I'll take a third look at the mappings.

Some shots from Grand Cayon Route using the AClean version of the new tracks and textures. Seems the X-tracks and dynamic tracks use the ACleantrack2 texture differently. ( not sure which is which ) otherwise looking good.

I have noticed this same issue on some other routes that have a bit of mixtures of dynamic tracks.

And honestly, I know this is harsh, but that route becomes deleted. With X Tracks, US Tracks, DB Tracks, Scalerail, and M Tracks being in play that give us tons of options to work with, and the creator still insists on using DT, the route will be sidelined for another, where the creator puts time and effort to make the best results possible. Personally, Seans routes from TS are top of the line when it comes to this, and from what I gather, so isn't the FRC and the Sherman Beta route from 3dtrains was there as well.

However, getting away from acleantrack completely with these update track files Eric is very kind on producing, helps tremendously. I haven't noticed many issues with the DT reflecting back with the USTrack textures as it does with the AClean track textures. Could be something Kuju decided was necessary with their oddball designs.

I don't see the images, Randy

Can you repost or send to me in a PM?

Geary, did you update the TrProfile.stf in the individual route folder?

I have the same route installed but don't see what your screenshots have.... I even turned on super-elevation to force DT to render.

Eric - found I had the files from 1/29 still in that Route and OR Install Profile - updating to the Files from the 2/6 download. Will retry that Route again later.

Also from what I see, I have Super Elevation off, as it is set to 0 in the options. ( using ver 1.4 )

                                Hi Folks,

Just curious - is there a way to make a "Dynatrax Profile" for this new track system and if so - would it "fix" that Dynamic Track anomaly?

                                Thanks.
