Yep, some of the rail textures have that area alpha'd out and others don't. I'll remap to the side of the rail.

I've already updated the mapping. Check the library for the new supplementals within the next 15 minutes.

Okay tried making my own ace files and did a little test.
Something I've learn when trying to place where a piece is mapped on a texture, I make a texture of colored squares and replace it with the ace. Here's the results.
This is the Chillicothe Sub, and obviously the bumper isn't textured to the US_Rails3.ace in this route. Why????
Now the USA1a route I blocked out the area you showed for the texture with dark red, result: (seemed right )
So after pasting in that area from your post, ( might not have it exactly in the right placement ) here was the result: ( Is this what it should look like? )

You downloaded the supplement, or the original package? The new mapping is in 88517
There's nothing different about the textures. The shape mapping was changed to pull from the side of the rail at the top.

Thanks.... I will say this has been a nice distraction from my own route building. It started out as a "how can I make 03d crossovers easier to build in Scalerail" because Dynatrax wouldn't run. Two months later, I've got 2000 trackshapes from a totally different track system...
I'll look at the Chili -- where was that screenshot taken?

Eric, I took that at Union Station,. I'm running an activity set of my own that starts there and ends in LA. So far all the bumpers I've seen appear the same. ( Maybe these are made from aluminum instead of steel - 😆😆 )

Bob used a static shape for his bumping post, not the one built into the trackpiece:

Thanks Eric for your time on this, and that explains it and expect to see the same then on his other routes. Just finished on the Chili, and will be starting on Marceline for my next run.
