    NBSR SD70M-2's

This week, the final two SD70M-2's landed on NB&M property in Saint John, NB. The NBSR 6414 ran its first run last night, and I got to have it as my lead unit from McAdam to Brownville Jct.

With that said, I have finished up the 18 total number series for the NBSR (NB&M) SD70M-2 fleet. Huge thanks for Borislav for the originals, 6401-6406. I have changed on some shapes to better match the real units, with some texture tweaks. Eventually I will be going through each unit, 6401-6418 to double check the numbers to match the real units, make texture adjustments as needed, and then go through and do the custom cabviews for each unit as well where it will be NBSR 6401, 6402, etc, on the control stand monitor, and the conductor's side just above the window. I thought about matching horn sounds with each unit as well, considering not a single one is the same, but I don't think we have the right sounding horns for certain units, so it will just use the MRL SD70ACe sounds.

These will all render the previous versions I released in the library, broken, so I will eventually have those files pulled, before I upload this large set of 18 SD70M-2's.

    Anyways..

This rounds out the painted units, and will be as follows once released.

    NBSR 6401 - NB Southern
    NBSR 6402 - NB Southern
NBSR 6403 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6405 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6405 - Maine Northern Railway
NBSR 6406 - Maine Northern Railway
    NBSR 6407 - NB Southern
NBSR 6408 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6409 - Maine Northern Railway
    NBSR 6410 - NB Southern
NBSR 6411 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6412 - Maine Northern Railway
    NBSR 6413 - NB Southern
NBSR 6414 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6415 - Maine Northern Railway
    NBSR 6416 - NB Southern
NBSR 6417 - Eastern Maine Railway
NBSR 6418 - Maine Northern Railway

This will wrap up the NBSR SD70M-2 project, as there are no plans for further units to be purchased. Next project will be the Progress Rail GP31M-ECO units, when those start getting delivered in 2025..

They look nice up close, until you ride in them for 10-12 hours a night. I'll take an SD40-2 any day of the week. Haha

Just a typo on here, as those units have been previously released with no issues.

Couldn't have done this massive project, without your originals!

Putting the engines through their final testing.

I've swapped it out, so that these engines read in amps versus kbl's.
Added custom front cabviews for the engineers side, showing "NBSR 6401, 6402.. etc, on the screens, as well as the second screen paneled out.
Added custom front cabview for the conductors side, just a simple color change, as the numbers on the conductors side aren't seen in this particular view.
Swapped out shapes used to better represent the old hand brakes versus the new ones, while some still retain the old, so the MRL SD70ACe's or BNSF SD70ACe's from the Mullan Pass will be required, as well as the CN SD70M-2 set from TrainSimulations.
All sounds will be aliased to the MRL SD70ACe's, but may also have some changed to use the CN sounds, just to break it up for the horn sound.
PTC housing on the roof has been added to all units, while PTC isn't a requirement on NBSR, these units do have the assembly of them on top.
Numbers on 6407-6418 have all been adjusted, with 6410-6418 added into the package.
Custom flashing ditch lights when the horn is activated by Brody Wyrick.
These will end up rendering the older files either useless or overwritten, so I have currently removed the old files in the library. Which of course, now I cannot remember if it included the SD40-2 and GP38-2/40-2 fleet..

Currently writing up the readme file, and I hope to have these out by Friday afternoon..

These units are currently set up to work in the unstable version of ORTS.

Files have been uploaded. Tried a few times to get the display photo to show, but no matter what, it still says the photo was too large and was ignored, even with it being 200k. Oh well. Clicking on view shows the photo anyways..

No problem, I have also reuploaded the SD40-2/GP40-2 set, which also includes the GP38-3 #917. I actually forgot which GP40 model from TS that one used, so I have it written up as using the same GP40 model as 3095. Eventually this whole package will be redone on the newer models, at least the SD40-2's, sometime down the road, with more additions, and conversion over to the DRS naming.
