I offer what I hope will be taken as some constructive advice. First, while a fully realize that Danny Beck's models from a number of years ago are easily available and do have a lot of detail for their era, the fact remains that they are old "Fred Flintstone wheel" models that are no longer of a model quality compared with many newer offerings. Repainters wind up spending a lot of effort to repaint a base model that will always look dated and inferior to newer, better rendered models. This is not a "cut" against Danny Beck--his models were ahead of their time in the early 2000's, but it's 20 years later now.
Secondly, in some of these particular repaints, I see some boo-boos that become very visible in the sim. As an example, the orange "patch" on the side of the WFRX unit wiped out all of the door and latch details on the hood. There are some good techniques that have been posted about out there to prevent/remedy some of those type repainting issues. I would hope that you would study up on them.Comment

Paint.net should have the ability to adjust opacity for a layer, so that you don't obliterate the underlying layer details with latches and hatches....If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!Comment
