You shouldn’t be saying if your going to make something if you yourself don’t even know if you can actually make it or not.

Yeah, I'd much rather have people show what they're actively working on vs what too often winds up as empty promises.
If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

As far as cars go try some modern cars with graffiti. I know a lot of people do not like it it but, if you want to model modern trains it's there. I like to model modern trains and I see a lot of model railroaders like to also. I do not have room to have a model railroad so simulation is my hobby. And thanks to all the payware and FREEWARE. guys and gals out there.

Would be nice if you kept the details with these patch jobs, instead of just completely blacked out.. it takes a bit of time to do, but the end result is the best part.

I'm sure what Shawn is suggesting is don't just slap the patch on and wipe out the details underneath it. It doesn't matter how much rust, grime or additional layers of paint go on a real loco, you can still see the raised or lowered pieces underneath. Your patch needs to keep the darker and lighter sections of the panel covers in it to look realistic. At the very least add some lighter stripes down the patch that follow the panel joins. If you know how to use layers, then for a better result, copy the joins and add them to the patch as a layer then mess around with your opacity settings until you get some consistency between the patch and what is above and below it.
                            Cheers!
                            Pete

This is why we make use of layers in the master bitmaps.
