Spam thread for new NAVS content

I thought it might be worth starting a thread to outline what is in the works or what has been recently uploaded. Today's upload is a minor variation on the Greenbrier centerbeams previously uploaded, an earlier model with different end grabs. As is my wont, a paint kit was uploaded at the same time.

    In the pipe:

    1. More of the default replacement cars. I think I might attack the final boxcar or the reefer next as I would like to do something a little simpler.
    2. I have a USRA-type 42' flatcar model more or less done that I set aside about a year or so ago and just never finished. I might push that out the door in generic NAVX markings for anyone who wants a transition-era flat to paint:

It would be cool to see more types of rolling stock from your workshop.

All of the default cars are getting replaced, one at a time. The current list looks like this:

There may be other projects in between as my fancy dictates.

I don't take suggestions, apologies. I make what I am interested in, and that's that.

Some of those USRA flats wound up in MOW use for general purpose as well as boom cars. A definite must-have in pale green or silver...

I run 1.4 because of 2d cad stretch. Will there be FA loads for the wellcars?

No. I have no intention of removing features to support outdated versions of Open Rails. I don't have the time for it.

One benefit of FA loads is that you can mix and match wells and containers.

You can mix and match with the current container management system as well. In fact, you can modify loads on the fly when you have an appropriate loading facility. Simply put, I am not making a version of the well cars that uses FA instead of the current container management system, and I am not going to answer further questions about it as I've already made my position clear. Your options are to use a more current version of Open Rails or learn how to modify the containers to work as FAs yourself. The files are public domain, so there's nothing stopping you from making the changes you want and uploading your own version. And that's all I have to say about the topic.

Erick, those look great! I checked on the NAVS Facebook page and saw some posts of a EMD GP20, not sure how's the progress with that one, it could be there for testing ground and a practice for skills or something along those lines.

That GP20 is part of a test trainset for some very specific OR features that aren't out of the testing phase yet.

Ah, I see, pretty sure those posts mentioned that. But honestly I thought the GP20 model looks great regardless.

I use ORTS 1.5.1, testing, and unstable. I don't see the issue with the 2d cabs being stretched or having odd ends, and I use a specific 32" gaming monitor. Of course, I also have the pixel resolution cranked up as well as all the other details and graphics, so maybe that's why it doesn't do what everyone is complaining about..

Anyways, these centerbeams look great Erick. I'm glad you were able to get the unwrapped load to come out good. I always got plenty more lumber loads photos of you desire further down the line.

I would like to have a copy of the loads that come with the NAVS wellcar pack.
