Ah yes, my apologies. My head isn't all there with this cold, so I didn't read everything correctly.

These look so awesome. And yes I do like the freeware on here. I am not sure but, BNSF and UP are not like CSX ,NS. The western Railroads carry only certain containers. Just recently
BNSF lost the Schneider contract and I had to change my containers on my Intermodal trains. LOL Thanks for the great models that you do.

BNSF lost Schneider and Swift\Knight. Cause UP low balled the price. But if you think about it kinda sucks for Swift\Knight and Schneider cause now that will make JB Hunt the premier container force in the west

He likes freeware, just not mine apparently.

I'll be curious how it does pan out with Schneider and Knights being with UP versus BNSF, but it seems like contracts change every so many years.

In fact, Saint John will be gaining all of Hapag-Lloyd from Halifax starting in a month or so. Thanks can go to MSC for it's control on the port of Halifax...

Ok wanted a small change from 53 footers so had a go at the MOW hut to remove the aircon and lights and add the bits that the extreme angle of the shot had hidden or exagerated and have done just the front but does not look to shabby. also removed the switch stand and other clutter leaning against it.

Pretty sure it is working out well for Schneider, most of their containers I see out here are riding on Z trains that do not have any form of energy management system engaged and all locomotives online. In other words, a train that can actually run 70 MPH for miles on end and scoot from one end of the territory to the other.

It is very refreshing to stand trackside and have one blow by you, not trundle by at 30-40 MPH like on the BNSF!

I love that MOW shed Bernard and the front door cracks me up. Drop a welcome mate in front of it and a skylight & window and it would be homey as.
                Cheers!

The MOW shed has its Aircon thanks to Peter O'Neill (OSSIE) who kitbashed one fom a container FA resized, shot below shows the back and the front as i have it now, just have to find a suitable flat car for it now.

Love it - my bedroom door is on there! May I suggest, if not already intended, that the sheds also be made available for object placement along ROW's and in yards?

I am guessing that all it needs is a .sd file inc to be able to do that, and that was what i intended to include with the upload, just trying to find a suitable flatcar to put it on, i was thinking of the NAVS 53.6 flatcar but i do not want to do one on a ace file that has three cars on it, looking for a single, so it may have to be a SLI/TS one from one of their sets as most of the flat cars in the library are very out of date or i do not like the textures and how they are mapped. or alternatively i could set the height above the rails to that of the SLI OTTX cars and upload it and let people put it on their own choice of flat (or use SFM to move it arond to suit their preferred flat)

To use as scenery, it's pretty easy to copy shapes and textures for cars or even engines into your route folders for this.

One of the more recent changes available in TSRE v8.004 is providing a list of all shapefiles in your route's shapes directory. Drop new shapes as needed, and you won't need to worry about maintaining a ref file entry anymore.

To clarify: Ref files are still supported...

If you like using them to organize and categorize things, great. Have at it.

They are still essential to use if you're using shapes contained in other route folders, and want an easy way to add them to a different route using relative pathing in the filename field.

After a lot of searching online seeing how different railroads marked and used cars for MOW use i found that the SP just seemed to add MW to the reporting mark without repainting into special colours like for instance the UP, so i found the flatcar from the MLT Cascades crossing route and used that as something that was possible to have seen and its suitably worn out looking, so unfortunately you will need the SPH_flatbed_e.s shape from that route to use this or just use your own choice of flat and move the container in SFM to suit as the container and Aircon are FA's. still have some tidying up to do but should be ready soon

one major prob i have found is that i cannot find a single 40ft container FA on my PC that has an .sd file or any other size, if they ever had one, I long ago deleted them after i changed to ORTS only, i believe the MOW cabin needs one to be able to be used as a scenery object. anybody out there got a suitable SD file.
