    Bangor & Aroostook Reefers

Just need to write up a readme file and instructions, and then they will be off and ready to deliver State of Maine potatoes to a railroad near you!

Cars look great Shawn. If only the IRL road painted their reefers in the red white & blue colors.

They did, just on the old 40' cars though.
I'm kind of glad they didn't though, that scheme is kind of a PITA to mock up when it comes to possible texture mapping issues.

Shawn............your BAR reefers look great, but I think you "missed" the obvious one......they had cars in low 2 or single number series, so I think they had a #1??"
unless those were 40 ft ice reefers

I am going to have to say kindly, that I did not. My intention was exactly the numbers I created here. These were produced in the 1970's. The lower series (1xx) are the incorrect car type of what TS had produced and were built in the 1960's with roofwalks intact. Single and Double Digits belonged to Cabooses, Passenger Cars, and MOW cars.

I believe you are thinking of the MMA cars in the lower series with 1-100, but those are just regular boxcars used in paper service.

I've seen many of these cars -- in fields, alas -- while driving through Maine. When the potato traffic vanished on account of Penn Central's inability to deliver it and inability to pay claims to farmers who therefor lost their livelihood, they seem to have sold off the reefer fleet all over the state.
