    BurlingtonNorthern11's Locomotive Project Thread Thing

Going to start sharing some of my projects out here as well rather than on other platforms.

Here is an SP AC4400CW based on Nash's shape. Click image for larger version

          Love the GE's!
Glad to see Nashs work finally get repaints done to them!

I wish we had a good SD40T-2 model to go along with those SD45T-2's from TSm (hint hint)

            Thank you!
I had plans to release them a month or two ago but I'm struggling to contact him.

As for the T-2s, it would be amazing to get some new ones. Especially some standard nose units as we currently only have the snoots. Click image for larger version

That's what a Shasta route add-on pack is for.

Need more Roman units, as any Shasta add-on no doubt will also feature some MK rebuild models that will by default come as speed lettered.

Most of the speed lettered units that retained their original numbers were part of a group of 100 bad-ordered units that were sold to EMD and leased back by SP after they were rebuilt. Thats why some got the power-by-the-mile stickers in error even though they were not third gen computer equipped. EMD later sold the SD45Ts to CEFX and they ended up in the lease fleets that roamed on CSX during the CR split years, and onto regionals like Kyle and MNA and IORY, etc. There was one bad-ordered GP40P-2 among a handful of regular GP40-2s that was in the group of 100, and that's the GP40P-2 that went to IHB along with some of the other speed lettered regular GP40-2s.

Yeah, I have a few roman units. Too bad I can't find any decent beacon F/As without having to remove an entire locomotive in order to put one on. Click image for larger version

Just curious if you have plans on doing some UP patched SD45R's and SD45T-2's as well. I thought about doing them, but I don't have the correct UP fonts.. I used to, but lost it years ago.

I have a few, though I need to replace the fonts with the ones I used on the Patched AC44s. Click image for larger version

Those look great, I always forget about LTEX honestly for lease units. All I ever see up my way is GMTX.

Try cnw_sd40-2_kd.zip It has shape CNWparts-noDL.s that might work for you. You'll still have to remove stuff (and probably adjust the position of the beacon), but not nearly the entire locomotive
