    New Crossing Signals...again

I decided I didn't like how my old crossing shapes looked, so you know what that means...

    Xings_1

I've rebuilt most of my shapes from scratch (except cantilevers, which were mostly good enough), but flashers, gates, signs, bells? All new.

    Xings_2

Most shapes have the same name as the originals, and can be simply dropped into a route to upgrade them. The only real exception is cantilevers, which got a new naming convention, and will have to be changed one-by-one (the arms may not perfectly match anyway, as I didn't do a good job keeping different arm lengths around).

This set is not only a replacement of old shapes, but an expansion. Several new features exist. Side-of-mast-mounted bells, two new crossbuck textures, many new cantilevers, a new gate mechanism (WCH Model 3590), two new gate lengths (15' and 27'), and an alternate gate texture (horizontal or vertical stripes, see below), as well as a few other things sprinkled in.

    Xings_3

The first set to be released will focus mostly on modern stuff. A new set of bell and gate sounds will be released around the same time. Older stuff is in the works, but will come at a later date.

(traffic lights not included. Maybe someday I'll finish them...)

If you've got something you think should be in these sets, now's the time to speak up

    Absolutely wonderful ! 👍🧡 Thank you .
Too bad the same kind of high quality model does not exist for the french railroad !

My question may sound a little dumb, but are the US&S and/or the WCH Gates going to be updated by any chance?

All the mechanisms have been rebuilt from scratch. I think the only part of the gate shape I reused was the mast. So they will look considerably better than they did

Thankfully I haven't planted too many of these on my route yet! Looking forward to installing these for use on the MEC Mountain Subdivision.

Though, the lens still look larger than what I need. Ones up near me used to be much smaller. Oh well, hard to notice when cruising by at 35-40mph.

Are the wig-wags and Griswold rotating stop sign signals part of this project at all?

I haven't started on them yet, but they'll be coming later

The first set, along with some bell and gate sounds, has just been uploaded. Up next will be the weird older stuff, starting with this later model rotating banner signal, made after Griswold and RACO merged
