Wow that looks like quite the project and a lot of track. Keep it up and hope to take a run on it some day!

As for mine and Josh's route we have both started working on the route once again! He started with more track and scenery in the Chicago area while I started working on putting in more on roads on my section of the route. Mainly focusing on the CP and BNSF from the Twin Cities to La Crosse.

Just a quick update from the south end of the route. AKA Chicago, AKA route building purgatory.. After many months of work trying to be squeezed in when life permits, I can (VERY happily) say that downtown Chicago, and its associated yards, are DONE trackwise. Now I can shift my complete attention to scenery work and start radiating out from downtown on scenery and roads. Downtown Chicago currently consists of Chicago Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center (courtesy of Eric) and LaSalle Street Station.

As of right now there are no plans to include it.

Did you include my Global One Yard just north of the Racetrack?

I cut yours off right south of the Western Ave wye on the CNW because I had already built in Global one on the racetrack when I merged in the Harvard and then just connected the two on the interchange track that runs parallel to Western Ave.

K... I'd been working on that area but willing to dump those tiles for yours. You have a lot more of the Air Line.

This is Global One as it is right now. Obviously still have some work to do on it.

Just a quick update, I was able to squeeze in some scenery work this weekend on the downtown area, specifically around LaSalle Street Station as well as 16th street tower/Diamond.

                            Hey everyone,

Here is a little update on the route mainly on Josh's end and a few proposals we are looking at for the future of the route going forward.

As of right now Josh has decided to break off one section of the route and work on it individually. That being said Josh has found some errors in the TDB that were not known before with this section of the route before being disconnected from the mega route.

As of right now Josh and I are looking at ripping our whole route apart into sections. This not only will help us fix errors that may have been missed while in the route as a whole but it will also help us to work on the route in sections. We will still need help on routes individually and we are hoping breaking up the route will help not only manage the route but also send sections of the route to others that would like to help out with it.

We have come to the conclusion that the route is too big for both of us to work on as a whole and this will hopefully help us complete sections of the route quicker and more efferently.

Yes both of us understand what this will entail but we both feel it will be better off for the end result. We also know a few of you will be saying I Told You So!

Once completed with a section with track, roads and scenery we will then put it into the mega route and also keep it as an individual route for downloading purposes and for ones that just want that section of the route.

                            Brandon

Who said the mega route was going to be discontinued? I never once said that!

This is to only isolate specific portions of the route so we can more easily work on them and possibly have more people help out with specific sections of the route that they are interested in vs sending out the whole route to someone that wants to help out.

This will also help with getting parts of the route done faster and more efficiently and help us with narrowing down errors with TDB and RDB files.

That is why Josh and I have decided to go this route. Yes it will be more time consuming but worth it in the end and help save us from headaches later on down the road.
