    WHO stole my tracks?????

Good evening.......working on a Romanian Train-Sim route and just discovered, the route loads fine, but there are a number of track sections MISSING??? Who doneit??

The route is DEVA - TIRGU - JIU from https://ruteromania.weebly.com/route...ctivities.html website. It is a one file download / installer with a one update file.
There are no "instructions" with it, but I have the "Standard" preloaded files necessary for most routes (X-Tracks 3.2 and NewRoads 4.0) however these add-ons don't seem to help the main route which must be using some other form of modified/add-on track set which I do not know

Does anyone have experience with this route or Romanian ones in general to suggest what I am missing??? Would appreciate the help...........there was a post on Elva's Tower, but can't get into his Forums....that had an answer about suggesting that route to another member, so I would like to find his advice. Thanks for your assistance

I have found the best thing with the Romanian routes is to put them in their own Open Rails install. I had the same issue with both this route and the CFR route but when I put them on their own that seemed to cure the problem. There is a tsection dat that ends with CFR and for some reason it doesn`t play nice if another tsection is in the Global folder but will work as needed for both these routes if it or another tsection made for Romanian routes is present.

The log should tell you what trackshape is missing.

Thanks Eric, that's a bit of a tedious method, but thanks to Crimsonfloyd, we have solved the problem much faster

Thanks for your idea, we won the battle as I got great results. It's a bit spooky as I did nothing more than you suggested by separating out the CFR. No pixie dust, magic words, etc...just more midnight oil and beer. I have about 12-15 separate installs of OF (lot less space than all the MicroSoft mumbo jumbo files not needed) I have the install of reference being my Eastern Europe routes (PKP. CFR, CSD) In fact one CSD route had to be separated out when I got it (Trat 321) because of it's size and can't be cross mingled with X trax routes.

Any hooo...I spent the evening setting up a new Open Rails install just for the CFR routes and moving all the things out of thr East Europe folder. So far I have downloaded 3.....PAUL, WALLACHIA and Deva-Tirgu_Jiu. I started up the problem route Deva-Tirgu and glorioski....NO MISSING track....did nothing more than take a "clean" GLOBAL folder from my base MSTS default program....added X Tracks and New Roads as by the instructions.....and away we went,,,,,picture leaving TIRGU YARD with nothing missing. Thank you

I have sometimes problems also with Russian equipment (Cab Views) and Routes, but I struggle through correcting them too. Something they don't like being compatible with English / USA version of Train Sim

            Doug,
Glad that worked for you! I like to take little European vacations from time to time, so when I decided to try a couple of the Romanian routes and went through the same frustration you had it was a bit of a bummer. It was totally by accident that I noticed the tsection cfr in the Global folder and had the light bulb moment to make a separate install for the Romanian routes which cured the missing track issues and reduced the instances of "magic words" .

Have finished installing most of the rest of my Romanian routes (8 files includes your original CFR problem) and no problems like originally. I have one more route (huge like the CFR rote) and that is Timisoara. The TrainSim.Ro website says Timisoara has been updated as M900 route now. Studying the Track Diagrams of a number of routes, I find there is a connection / overlap of a number of them built in the North west area of Romania

              Thanks for your Help

I also have the same problem with missing tracks in Romanian routes, but I cannot find that CFR T-section, nor can I find any downloadable Global folder for Romanian routes. Can any of you help me to find those files???

The Deva route installs a Global folder which includes Tsection.dat v44.

EDIT. I found that even with the supplied Global and tsection there was still missing track, lots of it, so I installed Xtracks into the Romanian Global. That solved the problem. New roads should also be installed if you run Romania as a separate install.

Beer is not a matter of life or death, it is much more serious than that.
