    Scenes Without Trains - 2021

Everyone needs to follow the guidelines, starting with what's been in place for years and years :

    https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showth...sting-tutorial!)

Summarized for those with shorter attention spans:
    • If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all
    • If you have something you're not supposed to have in the first place, don't post pictures of it
    • Post the name of the route and whose equipment you're showing off -- that eliminates 90% of the comments

If you still feel the urge to be ultra-critical, feel free to use PM's or post to a site like Facebook where that type of activity is more welcome.

Those who can't follow the spirit and intent of these three simple rules may find themselves facing a one-week penalty application of the brakes...

Also, as with all threads in the screen shot forum, comments and posts without photos are subject to removal at some point in the future.

    Rules for this thread:
    • Feel free to post ANY screenshots related to this thread (Routes, locos, stocks, etc.).

    Previous thread: https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showth...r-theme-Part-3

    Enjoy, and be safe!
If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

Checking track at the west end of route, approx 5 miles outside of Clarkson (Korimer Suberb). You can see the start of the foothills to the south. Ahead is an empty canvas.

Hope that ol' farmer has an icehouse. Even if there's not much snow, winter is most definitely here. At least with no snow the ice ought to be good

We have enough snow right now. -17C this morning, but will warm up to about -5. Never built an old icehouse shack.

That's what it looks like here now, except the sun's out

Nice photos Neil! I don't believe I've seen a snowscape in MSTS/Open Rails look so realistic. Started me drooling for a ski resort.

It's what it looks like here only the sun isn't out...nor has it been for many days.

Hey Steve, let's see if Rory adds a hill in NWL7 with animated people running into trees! LOL

How about a hill with an active ski slope on it and people coming down? Actually saw two of these near Milwaukee and Detroit. Both looked like giant pimples sticking up out of the flat landscape, not to mention being totally out of place for the location.

It would be even cooler if only the railhead was visible above the snow. I wonder if an edit of the file could achieve this.....hmmmmm.

Yeah, would definitely agree. That track texture is very realistic looking Neil. Not only that, but the snow textures surrounding it really add to the scene much more than any I've seen thusfar in the sim.
