Looking northeast, where the Vermont Rail System meets the Canadian Pacific in Whitehall, NY.
Looking north once again, where the mainline runs in the foreground, the controlled siding, and the old yard lead to the former D&H engine house, and turntable is shown, in the background, of Whitehall, NY.

Hi Folks,
Thanks much - I'm pretty happy with how it looks - thrilled that I can make out individual stones on the shoreline... The 2048 DDS DXT1 textures in ORTS seem to have no detectable impact over the 1024 files they replaced. The 12MB 2048 uncompressed ACE files used by TSRE are pretty slow on my old SandyBridge CPU - however my newer KabyLake CPU just powers right through them with business as usual.
Hah - shorelines - yes sir - only on a small test portion but it makes a HUGE difference. The route is only 100 miles long and the river runs the length of it - ugggh. Yeah - too bad we don't have the ability to detect and paint the edge - while Mosaic was orders of magnitude slower - you could detect and paint underneath the water the same way you could with roads and track.
Regards,
Scott
