Man if Train Simulations did a CSX set like that with SD40-2's, SD40-3's, GP40-2's, GP38-2's, and SD50-2's , I would definitely purchase it.

      beautiful stuff
but it seems .... MORE THAN THE SAME
      What 's new , besides being 3D ??
All new models, physics, etc, far superior than what we have seen in the past of CR items.
And most railroads in the north east have purchased CR specific models, so it works for those willing to do a ton of repaints in various roads..

I agree with your sentiment. Unfortunately, what I consider to be a major challenge is that most repainters seem to repaint regurgitated Fred Flintstone-wheeled, low-detailed models from 10 or 15 years ago--likely because (a) many of the models are now freeware and/or (b) they are just easier to repaint because they are simpler models (less detail, no freight anims, etc.). It saddens me when I see a great repaint to download, only to find it is based on an old low-detail model that I scrapped out of my sim 5 or 10 years ago.

Well, hope you don't download some of my stuff, because I used various models that fit what I need with little changes needed. I can care less about the wheels not being round. *Shrugs*

The older models you can change as much as needed. Newer models, not so much, as most of the time they are set up for the specific railroad that it's originally produced for.
That's why I haven't used a single GP40 model yet from SLI/TS. Only now the CR model will work for my needs.

Hi Aaron, been meaning to ask you - is this a very modified Speedway? If not, what route is it? It looks amazing. You really have a good handle on your route mods

This is the ATSF Marceline Sub. I was trying to combine it with another route and run it from KC, Witchita, OKC but couldn't get to work so I've just been messing around with it.
