So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet, to see the king of the potato people... and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're completely sane?

It was a miserable and rainy spring day, but not having managed to get out all winter and hearing that the SAR was going to run a ballast train up the Turin Sub to Picture Butte, it made it a worthwhile endeavor to head out. I didn't realize that they'd leased a few GP40M's over the winter, and it looks like they put a pair on with an RMT and an SAR GP40-2. Seventy ballast hoppers made for a loud departure from Kipp as they crew tried to start the train, but once onto the branch, the four units made relatively light work of it.

now I can't stand them as lead units, been too spoiled by the comfortable cabs of the SD70M-2 fleet. Heck, I'll even take a clapped out SD40-2 as a lead units now versus the leased GP38-2 or GP40-2 fleet. Haha.
By the way, I should have these locomotives uploaded in the library by Wednesday. Thursday at the latest!-Shawn K-

Couple of shots on the Piedmont route. Change out the terrtex and add a little more depth to the scenery, and this route is a total winner. The guy did a great job!
