All I know is how is wish that defect_detector's reskins, etc. could be available for download. So many of them are really works of art. I often thought that it would be interesting to have a place where creators/reskinners could "sell" their work, with the creator getting some compensation for the sale, and the OpenRails Development effort getting monetary contribution for continued OR enhancement and development. That would be win for all: some reward for the creators, some $$ for OpenRails development/enhancement, and new content for simmers. This hobby and platform needs all three if it is going to survive.

Pretty much think this all the time. Can’t complain too much if they just don’t want to released to anyone (or if it uses an edited payware shape or something).

I'm greatly appreciative of the kind words, I personally would love to share many of the things I've created over the years as none of the creations would've been possible without the knowledge that has been passed on from this community when I first started out. I'd greatly give it away for free, however since just about every shape you see me post is completely modified from the source files I had access to, it's not as simple as sharing the textures.

With that said, there's a lot of potential to see fantastic things from the guys on the ground at TS, the talent you see from tarrant75, PerryPlatypus, and rrdiesel87 makes my jaw drop. Being friends with those guys, I can tell ya that there's plenty of releases in the pipeline to be excited about.
