FRWR's export coal train to Richmond, CA is making good time as it heads for the Bay Area port hoping to arrive in darkness to avoid the NIMBY scrutiny that comes with moving the product.

I've been hammering out the scenery lately on my EMR Mattawamkeag Sub. Some spots need some adjustments still.

The daily 909 job, starts its day by heading out to the bypass and lifting the CSXT bound traffic and Saint John bound traffic, brought down from Millinocket, by the 910 job the previous night.

Passing by Knights Landing parking area viewing the house in the background, as EMR 909 rolls by at track speed.

Some deer look on a bit nervous, as the train rolls by into a little dip, before making a big climb up a 1% grade for a bit before dropping back down towards Lakeview Plantation.

Top of the hill at Mile 97, although its not a very long climb, it still drags the train down to around 15mph before it makes it up and over.

Getting closer to Lakeview Plantation, and heading back down hill, as a passerby from one of the near camps waits patiently. (this area needs a bit more tweaking)

Passing under the old Bangor & Aroostook Medford cutoff bridge. This line is currently an ATV/Snowmobile for the Scoodic Lake region. Though, I don't often see it, and even more crazy, is you can drive a road vehicle along this trail, though, I've been told, the bridge itself is very sketchy with many holes in the planks.
