        Real nice train, Marshall!

Very nice. Glad to see fictional railroads can still be posted in this thread.

Something a bit different, non-fictional on a fictional.

I wanted to run a few Mexican-style trains on FBL, so I grabbed a consist using some Mexican stuff from the File Library, and had at it. It really fits the route, so check that off as something that can be used on the FBL.

Brilliant, that fits the FBL nicely.

Taking a break from route building this week, going to attempt an activity for the Black Butte Sub, aka Shasta Route.

Loaded Grain from CPKC out of Eastport, ID, heads out of Klamath Falls towards East Modesto, CA.

I looked in the File Library, but did not find the N de M locomotive. Was it sourced elsewhere? Thanks.

It's June 1968 & CNJ Train 1148 is getting ready to depart from Philipsburg, NJ. The Aldene Plan has been in effect for just over a year and the verdict is so-so. CNJ commuter trains now end at the PRR's (now Penn Central) Newark Penn Station and the CNJ's Communipaw Passenger Terminal is a memory. Only commuter train for the CNJ on the mainline is the Bayonne "Scoot". The consist is usually a pair of RDC-1's going between Cranford and 8th St. Bayonne.

But here we have Train 1148 in a "Push-Pull" configuration using two GP7's and seven NJDOT subsidized rebuilt HW coaches. GP7 #1523 was in the lead while GP7 # was pushing. Using two GP-7's or NJDOT purchased GP9P's in a consist wasn't uncommon while the CNJ was building cab cars at the E'port shops. This was a common practice before and after the CNJ received the 13-brand spanking new EMD GP40P's in 1969-70. The locomotive at both ends push-pull configuration was used on the Mainline then and now known as NJT's Raritan Valley Line well into the 1980's until the Comet III's arrived.

NOTE: The Dick Cowen HW cars here I retextured I will release if people on here "Like" to run them on Steve Dunham's Blue Comet Lines 2 route which they are perfect for. These mostly ran on the Mainline and rarely on the NY&LB but from time to time they did in the summer season until the Conrail takeover. To the rivet-counters on here they aren't fully prototype (Trucks for one thing) so they might not like them. I just made them to have better visual effect running trains in a later era. And they look pretty good in the end to run. So, if I get a few likes checked off in the bottom right corner on this post, I will package them up this weekend and upload them. So, remember to check off the "Like" at the bottom on this post if you like me to release them.
