    TSRE Consist Editor Questions

    I Have TSRE Installed and it Working Properly.
    I Have 2 Questions;
    A. How Many Files or Pieces of Rolling Stock Can it Hold?
    B. Where Can I Find or Download A Manual for How to Operate the Consist Editor?
    Thankyou,

    TSRE is an all-in-one shape viewer, consist editor and route editor in one program. Given you have the install profile selected, you can create, edit and save consists, and route updates, to your install profile. In terms of loading, I don't believe there is a limit on how much locomotives and equipment can be loaded into the Consist Editor app. It all depends on how much you have on your drive. The more you have installed, the longer it takes to load. The Consist Editor app can be selected within the TSRE folder. Navigate to the install profile (for instance, C:\MSTS) which has the GLOBAL, ROUTES, SOUND, TRAINS folders, and select the folder that holds these folders. There should be a green button along the top and a summary on the bottom of how many consists and trainsets you have. Click LOAD, and you'll have an awesome consist editor once loaded.

      I've got well over 1000 pieces of rolling stock in my Trains folder and the TSRE-CE hasn't failed to open.

      The only quurk I've found is you have to define the Consist before you select and items to assemble it.

      1) select 'New Consist' on the top menu
      2) provide the file name
      3) provide the display name

      After assembling, select 'Save' on the top menu.

      If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

        I have over 22,000 pieces of rolling stock.
        It takes a while to come up to the menu but it does.

          OK,
          It's Working Great and I Only Have 200+ Files Installed. I'm Learning by Trial and Error How to Use it To Modify and Create Consists. But My Second Question About a Tutorial on How to Run the Editor hasn't Been Answered.

            There is a manual available on their website. But I doubt it's in PDF format.
