    Moving TSRE to Another Location.

I'm Having A Lot of Trouble Installing OR To My C Drive. If I Install to The Default Location Can I Move TSRE to that Location Without Losing All My Downloaded Files?

You DO NOT want to put ANY other apps or files in the folder where you install the Open Rails Executable files. Not even Trains Sim content such as routes etc. WHY? When ORTS does an auto update it deletes all content and reinstalls ONLY what it requires. Everything else will be lost.

TSRE can run from anywher as long as your shortcuts point to it correctly.

You do not need to move TSRE. When you run TSRE it is not looking for OR, it is looking for your trainset and routes folders which should NEVER be in your OR installation.
Beer is not a matter of life or death, it is much more serious than that.

        OK.
Then I Can Leave my MSTS and TSRE in C and Install Open Rails in it's Default C:/ Program Files Location?

I wouldn't install to Program Files.

Do C:\OpenRails as many of us have suggested.

After years of a best practice it boggles that the installer hasn't been adjusted....

That's Where my Problem is. My Installer Has C:/ Program File as the Default Installation. I Can't Change the Path. When I Right Click on the Installer there is not
a Way to Change Path or Change Location. There is a Send to But Nothing Else. Even if I Run it as Administrator I Can't Change the Path!

              Eric and Dave,

How the Installer reacts depends on whether or not ORTS has been previously installed.
Tried installing on a "new" PC (not really new in age but one that had NEVER had ORTS installed). The installer gave me the option of Default location, Editing the path or Browsing to a path.
Tried the installer on PC that already had ORTS installed in default location and it did not give me a "choice" and installed to default..

So it appears that Dave did not get a "Clean" uninstall.

FYI went back to that "New" PC which I had just installed ORTS to C:\Open Rains 1.5, ran the installer again, found that I could not choose a second location as it defaulted to C:\Open Rails 1.5. Then I used Windows Settings to Uninstall ORTS. Then ran the installer again. Now I could choose where to install.

Again: "it appears that Dave did not get a "Clean" uninstall."

I agree with Charles. An unclean uninstall will not prompt the user to change their install location when they attempt to reinstall it again.

Sounds that way. I will take a look at coming up with a registry file that will clean out the open rails and trees and allow a clean install.

Give me a couple hours and I will post something here.
