Locking in Shape & Consist Editor.
I do that Whenever I Open the Editor. But if I Close & Reopen the Editor it Reverts to the Black Background.
At the Top Left Side I Have the Following Headings:
File, Consist, Eng, Replace, View, 3D View, Settings, Help.
In the 3D View I can Open the Color Chart, Choose my Color and Apply it. However when I Close TSRE and Open it Again it reopens with a Black Background.

In that case go to the folder you have TSRE installed and look for the settings.txt file. This file should have two lines in it, probably in the "# misc" section near the end that read: colorConView and colorShapeView.
Here's what my file has --- which makes the color light grey.
colorConView = #a2a2a2
colorShapeView = #a2a2a2
See Screenshot >>>
The TSRE manual has a section about the settings.txt file .... How does settings.txt work? It provides a list of all the adjustable settings for TSRELast edited by R. Steele; 05-18-2023, 22:00.

If you are using the in app selection then YES it is not saving. So just use Notepad to edit the settings.txt file.Last edited by crstagg; 05-19-2023, 16:35.Charles

You should only remove the number sign at the beginning of the line. The number sign after the equal sign and before the six characters should stay there because that indicates a color code.

I assumed Dave read Charles' post 6 and deleted the required # instead of just the leading # .... I assumed not everyone knows that's the structure for HTML color codes.
